Anyone who reads my blog will learn two things about me. 1. I am a bona-fide "foodie" and 2. I am an avid equestrian. One of my favorite activities is attending the "Dublin Horse Show". Since it was first held in 1864, The Dublin Horse Show has become an institution for Dublin. From the best show horses to the best international show jumpers, the show is a celebration of Ireland’s affinity with the horse.
The 142nd Dublin Horse Show will take place on August 5-9 and is one of Ireland's biggest sporting and social events—attracting over 100,000 visitors both domestic and foreign.
Whether an avid horse lover & equestrian or a casual bystander--with live music and entertainment, fashion and shopping (over 300 vendors!), restaurants, bars and the best in national and international showjumping—the event is guaranteed fun for the whole family.
Ladies' Day on Thursday promises lots of glamour with great prizes for the 'Best-dressed Lady', 'Most Colorful Outfit', 'Most Creative Hat' and 'Elegance is an Attitude', and for fashion conscious males, there's also a prize for 'Best-dressed Man'. Over €940,000 in prize money will be won & visitors can enjoy jumping competitions including the Longines International Grand Prix, the Land Rover Puissance and the Furusiyya FEI Nations' Cup™ presented by Longines.
The Dublin Horse Show has something for everyone. Whether you want to see exciting horse classes, watch international show jumping or are just looking for a fun day out with family or friends - Dublin Horse Show is the place to be!
